The INTP at Work
Work that doesn't involve the use of intellect and the
opportunity for self-mastery soon becomes sheer drudgery
for the INTP. In fact, if a job doesn't afford such challenges,
he or she is often better off seeking new employment. Otherwise,
over the long run, their on-the-job listlessness will result
in undue stress, accident proneness, and overall poor
performance.
The Older INTP
For older INTPs, the senior years afford ample time
to theorize and dream, with much less accountability to
hold them back.
During some of that time, INTPs may experience growing
extroversion and subjectivity — that is, they may
become more like an ENFP — which may be simultaneously
both scary and quite exciting.
As that phase passes, however, the INTP will most likely
settle into a senior citizenship devoted to developing
new thoughts and ideas, in order to present them to younger
generations.
