Buildings Album
This photo album contains photos of some of the buildings that caught my eye as we passed by during my June-July 2004 vacation in Romania.

Topics covered in this photo album (listed in alphabetic order):
- Castle Bran
(3 photos; I didn't pay the small fee to take interior photos)
Often touted as Dracula's Castle, but it was actually the castle belonging to King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. But just outside the gates, you'll find dozens of little shops selling Dracula trinkets. - Castle Peleş
(13 photos; I didn't pay the small fee to take interior photos)
Often claimed to be one of Dracula's castles, but it was actually the summer home of King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. - Parliament Palace
(44 photos; I paid a fee to take interior photos)
While his people starved, the communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu (Ceauşescu) was building this lavish building (one of the largest buildings in the world, second only to the U.S. Pentagon). Originally called Casă Poporului ("People's House"), it was later renamed Palatul Parlamentului ("Palace of Parliament"). - Suceava Fortress (Scaun)
(25 photos)
The Fortress of Suceava was built during the reign of Petru I Muşat (1375-1391), who established the capital of Moldavia in Suceava. It first appeared in a document dated 1388.
